Comments about Hal Leonard Live Sound For Musicians Book:

A no-nonsense, easy to follow, presentation of sound system basics that will help you troubleshoot issues you are experiencing. Great for semi-professional musicians and "week-end" bands with limited PA experience. Money well spent

    Amusing, but basic

    By Mr. Moon

    from Salem, OR

Comments about Hal Leonard Live Sound For Musicians Book:

This book is quite helpful for those new to sound but is limited - especially when dealing with wiring monitors and the like. The author does not adequately address the ultimate question, "how do I make my band sound the best?" as he does not discuss miking techniques and large sound systems. Overall the book was a good starting point.

    Good Book For Beginners

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Hal Leonard Live Sound For Musicians Book:

This is a very good book, it focuses on getting good enough sound from your P.A., whether it is a small inexpensive one or a huge one with massave amounts of wattage. This book explains how to set the equalizer so that you can turn your P.A. up louder without feedback, how to keep the speakers from distorting, typical setups for various bands, and more. Doesn't take a long time to read, and is very understandable. This is not a technical book, it is setup so that any one can read it in a short period of time and be able to apply the techniques shown at the next gig.
