Not terrible, but not great either

Comments about Hal Leonard Rockabilly Guitar DVD:

The DVD runs about 50 minutes. It includes a small booklet with some chords and 34 example licks in the style of various players (Eddy, Cochran, Setzer, Perkins, Moore, etc.). Basically it spends about 2 minutes on each artist and tells you a couple of key things they did in their usual style. Some prior knowledge is assumed -- for instance, they show a lick that changes from pentatonic major to pentatonic minor. No reference to what that is, so if you don't know...it won't mean much. Its in the language of musicians...so you'll hear phrases like "oh and this player used a lot of sixths, like this..." There's a quite a bit of that so a novice player might find that confusing. Overall, its an ok 100,000 foot flyover of rockabilly, but I'm not sure that even if you learned everything on the DVD that you could go out and play rockabilly. I guess its a starting point.
