It's pretty good

Comments about Hal Leonard Ska Guitar Book with CD:

I bought this and its pretty good for learning ska. It covers basic rhythyms and chord shapes for all three ska waves, but he starts talking about bands like No Doubt and their riffs and they arent even ska, so a lot of the pages are a waste. Its worth it though buy it and then learn ska songs to help you get a feel of the style better.

Comments about Hal Leonard Ska Guitar Book with CD:

This book is exceptional, it give excellent examples in to Ska music. I exceptionally like that the book is organized in the '3 waves' of Ska. There is history of each ?wave? of music at the beginning of each of the three sections. If you like Ska and are starting the guitar I highly suggest this book. The CD might be a little quick for a beginner to play with but you can at least hear the feel of the music by listening to the CD.
