Hal Leonard

Guild guitars have been around since the early 1950s, and by the beginning of the '60s, the company had established a solid reputation for its electric and acoustic archtops, which are still widely regarded today. Despite this enduring popularity, little was known about the history of Guild. The Guild Guitar Book is the result of years of intensive research and countless photo sessions. It includes a thorough history of the company and its guitars, including serial numbers, specifications, original prices, and all the information needed to date Guild guitars. The Guild Guitar Book gives you hundreds of photos, with a beautiful 40-page color section. 184 pages.

Guild fans and anybody else interested in archtops will treasure this book. Go for it!

A must for Guild fans!

By Ted Wagner

from Chicagoland

Comments about Hal Leonard The Guild Guitar Book:

A must for all Guild instrument fans.
The only negative I can say about this book is that it only covers the first 25 years. Other than that, This is as complete a history and information store of Guild company and instruments that I've seen. Some of the artist endorser pictures are priceless! And the instruments themselves are gorgeous. I currently own 4 American and 1 Chinese Guild acoustics and all are fine instruments and well represented here. I'll end this this similar to how it started ... I'm anxiously awaiting volume 2, of the next 25 years.
Great photography and history.
Thorough listings of models, including serial number schemes.

Hans Moust is the King

By Dane Rectal

from Fargo, ND

Comments about Hal Leonard The Guild Guitar Book:

This is the most complete history of Guilds for its time period. Hans Moust is the most knowledgeable Guild historian around. If you want to learn about Guild guitars, do yourself a favor and learn from Hans.
