Comments about Hal Leonard The Home Recording Handbook Book/CD:
My friend bought this book for me as a gift to help me understand the terminology and process of recording before I attended school to learn. Well, I learned a lot more than originally intended. It covers recording of not just the voice but also instruments such as bass, guitar, drums, strings, orchestra, and brass. The book also shows you miking techniques as well as planning ahead for specific recordings you are trying to do. It's great for those with or without experience in the world of music production.
