Comments about Homespun Branching Out On Bluegrass Banjo 2-DVD Set:
This set is wonderfull. A little about my music history first. My music theory is strong and I play several instruments including piano which always helps theory. Plenty of material here to last a while (I think 110+90 Minutes). He covers plenty of theory and how it relates to bluegrass/country banjo. I applied much of his techniques to the piano and gtr also. I knew most of the theory through my background but he really combined it with the banjo style well. I guess I was to lazy to sit down and figure it out on my own. These CDs are also wonderful to just watch without holding an instrument (the theory discussions are that good). These videos hit ME just right.
