Comments about Jamey Aebersold Maiden Voyage Book/CD:

Great play-along book/CD of some good jazz standards. Some songs are easier to solo with and can be done with beginners by using an "umbrella" scale (blues scale or minor pentatonic scale), but some songs require you to play the "changes" when soloing. I love the book/CD and use some of the songs to teach soloing. The only down side is that there are only 1 track for each song, which means no tracks have a play-along melody on them, only the rhythm section.
