Comments about Jamey Aebersold Volume 103 - David Sanborn - Play-Along Book and CD Set:

If you are a fairly experienced player and want to enhance your abilities (to sound more like Sandborn) don't waste your time with this book. The transcriptions are not even close to his original recordings. You would be better to play along with his recordings and skip this book. The only possible benefit for me is that the chord progressions are written out, but even they are not completely accurate given that the structures don't match the recordings. This is a beginners guide to a study of David Sanborn at best, and no beginning student should bother trying to study David Sanborn. He's way too complicated a player for beginning students.
