I ordered this material with my new bass guitar. Of the ones I looked at, it "looked" to have the most stuff and be one of the better ones. Let me tell you, looks can be deceiving. You get a DVD, a CD-ROM, a play-along CD, and book. The CD-ROM was actually the best part of the package. After getting by some initial lessons that were poitnless, they had some decent exercises. I just didn't like having to sit in front of my computer to do it. Also, it could use a little more navigation control. If you missed a sentence or two, you're screwed. You can forward and rewind, but only to the beginning or end of the lesson, not within the lesson itself. The "book" was jsut a little flip book that was made to go along with the CD lessons. Not useful on its own at all.The most disappointing thing was the DVD. It had three teenagers talking about how "you gotta be cool to play the bass." There was NNNNOOOOO instruction whatsoever on the DVD. It was a promo for wanting to play the bass. I guess that just kind of ticked me off. I thought I was buying lessons on DVD with some extra stuff thrown in. Instead I got some lessons on computer CD, with a useless DVD thrown in. Not saying the package is useless, just not what you're after if you want lessons on DVD.
