Bad instructor. I better said this guy is not an instructor at all. I doubt he will ever play with a good band. It sucks.
Did not come with a Tab Book, the instructer keeps refering to the book. The "slow speed" is still to fast on lick's that are 45 finger moves. The last HALF of the vid is how to read Tabs (out of a book not provided). There are a few interesting items about SRV's Guitars but you can find them elsewhere on the net and does not justify the price....Try the Library.
The quality is terrible, the instructor is referring to lessons from a book they don't give you so you have no idea what notes he is playing. The DVD quality is jumpy and disorganised. It's a shame, because the instructor can play and understands Stevie Ray's style - but unless you're a rocket scientist, you can't learn much from this DVD. I have learned alot from videos and dvd's - but not this one!
The video quality is poor. Not bad as an overall view of SRV technique but if you don't know how to play some SRV, you won't learn it from this DVD. All you can expect is some polishing techniques.
