Alex Skolnicks Rock House DVD is great! I went from having no knowledge whatsoever of jazz to being able to play a full jazz standard and now I can even improvise my own in jazz style. I love how he starts from blues and builds the jazz off of it. This has really transformed my playing and has added a new flavor to my style. The iPod Videos are a great feature and when combined with the support from rock house and backing tracks nobody comes close to being as awesome as Rock House!
This 3 DVD set is totally awesome. Its great that it has a printable tab book, downloadable backing tracks and I can get the lessons on my iPod!! Its so worth it.
After purchasing this product I have become addicted to Rock House DVDs. Nobody comes close to matching their quality!
I feel like the lessons gained from this DVD were well worth it! I have studied from various instructors privately to try to learn Jazz, this DVD succeeds where many have failed to make an easy to understand program for a difficult style of music. It wasn't boring at all even in the most basic of lessons I feel like I gained a knowledge that many instructors are missing.

I posted the comment about Disc 1 missing from my set and I wanted to update the situation. I went to the Rock House Method website and I was able to send a complaint about missing disc 1 from my set. Karina from Customer Support e-mailed me and was sorry about the mix up. Rock House was cool about the situation and they sent me Disc 1 along with a couple of other things a couple weeks later. Rock House has a solid product along with solid customer support. Now that I have all 3 disc, I am more than pleased with the teaching style and content of these dvds and would recommend them to anyone. Rock House is Redeemed!

I bought this the other day only to find that they shorted me disc 1! I didn't realize this until I inserted disc 2 because when I did it was the same as disc 1. So I looked at it once more and realized that even though they titled the disc as disc 1, it was actually disc 2! Maybe it was just my copy of the dvd set, but rockhouse has bad quality control. The material was good and Alex Skolnick does a good job teaching. If the dvd set actually had all three disc then I would have given this dvd set 5's all the way across.
