DVD 1: Oli designed this program with Rock House to give aspiring Metal guitarists insight into song writing and lead playing. In Level 1 he reveals the chords, inversions and voicings he uses to create rhythm progressions and write songs. Learn techniques such as muted picking, string skipping and tapping. He teaches how he uses arpeggios, sweep picking, pedaling and pivoting as both lead and rhythm techniques. Oli shares his personal workout routines and much more.
DVD 2: Oli expands on the techniques developed in Level 1. Learn Hungarian minor scales, scale runs and patterns, chromatic passing tone technique and many complete leads shown note by note. Oli shows you how to write a two-part harmony guitar section heard in many of his Metal compositions. Learn advanced lead guitar techniques like extended pentatonic 3rd's & 6th's, symmetrical arpeggios, arppegiated triads, quintuplets and septuplets that will enhance your lead playing.
