"Modern Recording and Mixing" is a great overview for music recording, intended for beginners to intermediate musicians. The narrator/host is an experienced engineer and clearly communicates various techniques and professional tricks of the trade. Pro Tools is the software reference used in the DVD, but users of any recording platform can benefit from the over three hours of presentations. If you are looking for a concentrated introduction to the world of professional recording, this product will be of value. I had no technical problems with the DVD. Everything worked well.

Ditto the previous comment... won't work... most of the QT's had no audio... terribly dissapointed!

This was a big disappointment. This is NOT a DVD as advertised and won't work in a DVD player. This is a CD ROM with Quicktime files. I tried playing it in 2 different computers and it would not work. The company was nice and sent me another copy thinking maybe it was a bad disc. But no luck with the second disc either. Had my money refunded.
