String Master is a great way to teach the beginning guitar, banjo, violin, mandolin, viola/cello, bass, and piano student how to understand their instrument quickly. By mastering this 4-step method, the beginner will gain essential understanding of all the instruments, and advanced players can achieve new levels of insight into what they already know. String Master uses videos, diagrams, and interactive tests.
String Master uses several different features to make sure that each user learns the 4-step approach to visualize chords, scales, and read music! These unique diagrams and patent pending teaching method allow you to learn to read your instrument's full range. String Master does not rely upon memorizing pattern after pattern.
Over 30 videos cover concert strings such as violin, mandolin, guitar, bass, banjo, Stick, and keyboards.
Videos outline each of the 4 steps and also cover techniques like bowing and intonation for the violin and concert strings. Picking techniques for the guitar and bass, finger rolls for the banjo, and tapping techniques for the Stick are also covered.
String Master offers advanced features like Visual Sketch Pads that allow you to practice the lessons and also create your own lessons.
String Master gets the user involved in the learning process with interactive quizzes and visual exercises. Learn more in months than years of private lessons. String Master has changed the way I look at the fretboard on guitar. The visual exercises in stringmaster has enabled me to play with a confidence I never had before. I rip pentatonic scales in 4ths, sweep arpeggios in 5ths & 2-hand tap in thirds. I was a pretty good guitarist before I got String Master. Now with my new fretboard awareness I'm worldclass!Luke Carlton: Recording Artist/Music Instructor
This is the worst attempt at a comprehensive string learning system I have seen, ever. The quality is horrible; overly difficult to navigate, SLOW, and there are MANY spelling, grammatical, and especially theoretical errors (for instance, loose and inaccurate representation of the solfge system). If you are a beginner, DO NOT BUY. It will just confuse you and cause you to learn music theory incorrectly, making it harder for you in the future. If you know solfge, and an intermediate understanding of your instrument, you might find some use in this, just reminding yourself of all that you know about theory and remembering that this fellow doesn't know theory very well (he's a good player, though). The idea behind the learning system is sound, it's just that it is extremely poorly presented. Also, VERY unprofessional videos.
