Quality on this horn is very consistent. Braces, silver plating and soldering all appear well crafted. The valves have bottom springs which tend to click/tick when playing rapidly. Valve action otherwise seems smooth and even, keep them well oiled as they need a gentle break in period (some initial sticking). Tone and intonation are above most student instuments, however the lower register falls off quickly. Personal preference...Bach/Giardinelli 3C produces best overall balance. Overall, fine horn to keep in shape on the road, backup for your primary...and just plain fun.
