Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

I would never be able to buy a trumpet of similar quality at this price here in New Zealand, (the price of the trumpet inclusive of the International tax duty fees.)

Shipping was surprisingly fast for international, and the trumpet came is great condition.

Was worried about the case (according to the other reviews), but was happy to see it was the one shown in the picture, nice and sturdy.

Highly recommend for Jazz, beautiful Mellow tone!

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

I got my Giardinelli 812 about five years ago, I play mostly in church for contemporary sets but use it for other styles also with Bach 3C, 5C & Warburton 3MC mouthpieces. I have experience with Bach (200), Conn (Victor & Connstellation) horns. The GTR 812 is no doubt a great horn, similar quality. Valves are smooth and I like the mellow sound and been complimented about it. Considering the cost of other pro-horns, this one is a great value. Besides the case it came in, I have no other issue. Before trying a Bach or other modern pro-horn, consider testing this one. It would be nice if Giardinelli had a C trumpet with similar quality and value.

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

Overall, I am pleased with this trumpet (model # GTR 812) and the quality of it. It has a rich, full sound and It has already made a difference in my playing ability coming from a student trumpet to this. The value could be much better though.
The quality of this trumpet is really good. It has a very nice sound and I am able to reach much higher notes with more ease on this trumpet and also play noticeably louder. The only critisizm would be that the trumpet is much heavier but that is due to it having much more metal on it! The bag that comes with the trumpet is cheap but i have several other bags that I could use.

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

I have owned this trumpet for about two years and it is the best horn I have every played. The projection and tone quality is unmatched. I have played Strads before and truly believe this is a superior horn. I would not recommend it for a beginning player however because it requires a lot of air to produce a good sound.

          Great horn for the price!

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

I have been playing for 15 yrs now and have had a few horns over the years. I must say that I am very pleased with this horn, I just bought it last week. Let me tell you, this horn plays better than a Strat, Xeno, and Conn Vintage. I have owned a strat, conn and Kanstul and this horn is just as good. The sound on it is awesome, the sound projects well and is centered. As soon as I took the horn out of the case, I tried the valves and wow very sooth. You will be happy with the price and the horn, I highly recomend this trumpet for the price and quality. Only thing is the case was not the one shown, but then again I plan on buying a gig bag anyway's.

          Wow, this is HEAVY

          By Tyler-3lDaM

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

The first thing I noticed about this trumpet is how very HEAVY the thing is. The bottom valve caps must weigh at least a pound each, ha ha. But then I played it....Buttery smooth Jazz perfection. I've owned a Strad for several years now, and while great for classical, it just never did the job for Jazz. So, after hearing a friend of mine go off on how much he loved his Giardinelli 812, I did the unthinkable...I got the trumpet without ever playing it. Risky? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. The sound is phenominal, one of the warmest I've ever heard. Even the stock mouthpiece is good (but my Monette B2 is definately better). The only thing I'm complaining about, is that the case that was sent to me was not the one shown. Instead, it's some flimsy plastic thing that feels like it's going to fall apart every time I pick it up. That's easily changed, though.

          better than a Bach

Comments about Giardinelli GTR 812 Masters Series Pro Trumpet:

I sold my strad and tried four horns before I ordered the 812. Since it was not American made I didn't expect much but boy was I wrong. This horn produces a centered tone and increases my range by three full steps. I love it and would recommend it to collegiate and professional musicians.
