I play semi-professionally and have owned this stand for 25+years. It is perfect. Excellent price, sturdy, adjustable for different size bells and easy to carry. Most importantly, it is VERY stable. When I place my horn on it, I have no concerns it will fall and be damaged.
This is the one the working pros use. Will last for decades.
The price is right, but that's where it ends. The stand has fairly good, not great, construction, but the older 2 piece model was better than the current 25 inch one piece model. Worst feature is that it tips over easily. If you get in crowded conditions, someone invariably knocks your horn over. If you're in these conditions, get the UMI stand. It has a wider base and does not tip over easily. It also folds down to 24 inches.Another drawback is the rubber tips on the legs. If you buy a new Hamilton stand, I recommend removing the rubber tips and glueing them back on. If you don't they will probably come off, at least mine did, and I am now short one.
I've been using the Hamilton trombone stand for almost 30 years. It is still in like-new condition; It still has all the rubber feet!Great produst!
