Why risk damage to your horn by pilling the parts in a tub. When used once or twice a week your horn won't get dirty again. I've started using them to run valve oil through the horn to keep oxidation from reducing the resonant quality of the horn. After rincing one of the spent sponges out, put a few drops of your current oil down the leadpipe, stick in a dry sponge with a pencil, add a few more drops of oil to soak the sponge and blow through; once with valves open, then again with them closed.
The person that says they get stuck in the horn should give up on the trumpet now before wasting time on an instrument he can't blow...

          Comments about Herco Trumpet Spitballs:

I just had a 61 year old horn restored. As an alternative to putting all the pieces into soapy water in the kitchen sink, pop one of these into the mouth pipe, push it down about the length of a pencil, blow a good breath into the pipe and it "pops" out the bell bringing with it the 'stuff' that collects in your horn. Repeat the process once or twice with each individual valve depressed and you're done. I love them.

This product provides a quick and easy way to clean your trumpet. I have been using them for years. I send the spit balls through several times with rinsing between each time. I send them through with each valve depressed at least twice.

                        Can be reusable

                        Comments about Herco Trumpet Spitballs:

I have found that the useful life of this product can be extended by simple cleaning and return to the jar. After using them I accomplish this by applying a couple of drops of liquid hand soap to them, rolling them between the palms of my hands, then thorougly rinsing and squeezing them nearly dry, and returning them to the jar of solution they come in. Of course this only works for as long as the solution lasts, but being able to so easily extend the useful life makes this product an exceptional value.
