I've had this horn for a few years now. It was a great switch for me. Probably not the best idea for the more refined musician, but for a student/professional taking a step up from a lower level of performance. I came off a Yamaha 667 Kreusp style, and at first the resistance caused my overall effectivness to hinder a bit... But you just have to break the horn in. Once I got used to it's make, I improved by the extreme. Great horn if you're coming off of an intermediate horn and looking to produce a better sound. It's got an excellent dark sound to it. VERY good with the low range.
