I've been using this trumpet stand for probably close to 10 years. I've never had a tipping accident and I use it for both my Bb & C trumpets and flugle horn, in quiet orchestra pits and busy, cramped, poorly lit stages.

I've never noticed any significant scuffing of my bell (if you're particular worried you can always throw your polishing rag between the stand and your bell) and it usually lives in the bell of my Bb. It stores without any problems in my original Bach Strad case and my gig bags, and i've even seen them store easilly in the student model Yamaha cases.
5 legs make it super sturdy.
smooth, moulded plastic minimises scuffing on your instrument.
The part that is in contact with your instrument is made from a hard, seemless (moulded?) plastic. Mine has never cracked despite being dropped many times.Legs and hinges are made of metal with hinges moving freely and have never gotten sticky or come undone.
Legs screw into the top part easily, without ever 'thredding'.
Pretty sure I paid more than this sites' price for mine (probably double) many years ago in Australia, and I still think it was a good buy!

Due to some long gigs I was playing, I decided that I finally needed a trumpet stand. After some thought and recommendations from my teacher I settled on this one. Here's what I have to say:1) A fair value, you will come to enjoy not having to hold your trumpet ALL the time.2) Very sturdy, definitely gets the job done.3) Very space efficient, as it stores neatly in the bell.As I said above, this stand fits neatly in the bell, BUT:1) It will not fit in tight fitting trumpet cases2) THIS STAND WILL SCRATCH YOUR BELL. I have a beautiful Bach Strad. whose inside bell finish has been marred because of this stand. In order to avoid this, do not store the stand in your case permanently, only store it there for travel.Otherwise, a flawless product!

          Comments about K&M 15213 5-Leg In-Bell Trumpet Stand:

My husband has a degree in Performance (trumpet) from Carnegie-Mellon and played in the Oklahoma City orchestra for a time (a long time ago, admittedly), and when I asked him about the trumpet stand that I got him for Christmas, he said "It's great!" He is a man of few words, but there they are.

          Comments about K&M 15213 5-Leg In-Bell Trumpet Stand:

Ingenious design. Everything stores inside the cone. Unscrew the large-thread central support, fold out the legs, screw the support back into the base of the cone and it's ready to use. Very stable with the five-leg design. Give you a sense of confidence the your horn will not tip over. I practice in a downstairs bedroom and leave the horn on the stand between sessions, confident that it is safer there than laying on a bed.

This stand is very sturdy, well-made and portable enough to take anywhere. Just pack it up and slip the stand in your trumpet bell, put the trumpet in its case and off you go.

            Comments about K&M 15213 5-Leg In-Bell Trumpet Stand:

I love this stand. I had an older 3 leg version and I love the 5 leg version. It is incredibly stable, and I wouldn't get any other type of stand. I am always traveling, and the fact that these stands fit in the bell make traveling a piece of cake.

The K&M Stand is great. It is sturdy and easily folds down for carrying inside the cornet's bell. Caution on extra delivery charges. I am in Canada and when the stand was delivered to my door there was an additional $15.00 delivery charge that I understood was included in the cost I had already paid.

I have this trumpet stand and find it to be the best! The five legs make it nearly impossible to tip over.( Don't get the one with three!) The genius is: It easily folds up and fits neatly inside the bell and doesn't take up any space in your case.
