Comments about Protec Deluxe Tenor Trombone Gig Bag:

I bought this case to replace a 10+ year old ProTec case that served me well, but eventually time took its toll. This case is nowhere near as protective as my original case. The bell area is flimsy, the slide lacks proper protection, and the overall amount of foam is surprisingly inadequate. The material and craftsmanship seem very nice, but I just did not feel comfortable using this to protect my horn, so I returned it.

Comments about Protec Deluxe Tenor Trombone Gig Bag:

Very good case overall. Bell area is a nice, large size and the bell will fit snugly with the Velcro strap inside. I use this with a Bach 36 and the slide pocket is smaller than I need it to be, although the slide does fit; it's a very tight fit. The outside pocket works well with small accessories such as lube, spray bottle, valve oil, pencils, etc. and can also fit trombone stands and wire music stands. There is no specialized place for a mouthpiece, so I put mine in a special mouthpiece case then into the bag. I use the backpack straps with it and they are very convenient.

It is a pretty awesome case. I own a 52H conn w/ a trigger and it all fits snug with a little extra room to grow. lol. I probably will not be using it when i go to like football games, but it is still decent protection. That being said overall it is a good, dependable, and lightweight gig bag.

          Great bag

Comments about Protec Deluxe Tenor Trombone Gig Bag:

This bag s great! The only complaint we have is it would be nicer if the parts had a tight place in the middle compartment to go, instead of three compartments for three parts (bell, slide, and mouthpiece). But overall it is very lightweight and easy to carry. Though it i a soft side case, it has loads of thick padding where the parts are stored. Very nice!

          ProTec C-239 Gig Bag

          By Mike-B2zC9

          from New Hampshire

Comments about Protec Deluxe Tenor Trombone Gig Bag:

I bought this gig bag and will use it. However, the protection for the slide is not what you would expect. The slide compartment does not have a solid protection piece like most gig bags. There is protection for minor hits, but one must be careful not to have a solid hit against the slide compartment. The gig bag I am replacing has a solid piece of wood with padding and would protect the slide from any hit. Unfortunately, I have to replace it because the zippers are shot and I can't find anyone to fix it.It was worth the price if and only if you are careful with it.

          Good Gig Bag

          By Beret 656

Comments about Protec Deluxe Tenor Trombone Gig Bag:

This is a better than average, reasonably-priced gig bag, The bag is light, has excellent bell protection, good slide protection, strong stitching and zippers. Has a large accessory pocket opposite the slide case that will accommodate wire music stands or tromboe stands in addition to an inside zippered pouch for mouthpieces, lube, etc. Can be configured for handle carry, shoulder strap or backpack. Probably the best buy out there in the gig bag market.

I have bought the C239 to replace my old beat up case. This bag is great! Lightweight and protective. I'm also looking to get the optional back pack strap
