This is a great bag. I'm a long-term trumpeter -- 35 years -- who has turned over a very expensive trumpet to his 10-year old daughter. I trust her, and even much more so with this bag. Zippers are strong, the material is tough, the inside cushion wraps around the horn, which fits snugly. Inside compartments for oil. Hangers for mouthpieces. I always wanted a cool bag like this when younger, but toted that heavy box. She's lucky. Good value for the price.

I'm a sophmore in highschool and I pretty much got this because it would be great for marching band season and stuff. My band has to travel about 30 miles on a bus to the football games every game and we travel by bus so this bag saves space for me and its easy to carry around.

Ordered this case for my son who has been playing the trumpet for 5 years now. The zipper doesn't go all the way around the case so it doesn't open completely. Getting his trumpet into the case was more work than it should be. Also, there is no where inside the case for the mouthpiece. It has a seperate little holder (like an eye glass case) that could very easily be lost. The quality of the case seemed fine. We did however, order him the Protec Slimline case and he has been very happy with it so far! This particular case just did not fit his needs.

The Pro Tec Deluxe Trumpet gig bag is extremely well-made, wonderfully lightweight yet thickly padded and durable enough to protect your horn. The large outside compartment has a small-but-still-roomy zippered mesh pocket, 3 pen holders and holds plenty of stuff, including a straight mute. There is room inside the horn area for a cup mute snuggled next to the 1st valve slide. There is extra padding to protect the horn's tubing, too. My favorite feature is the ability to stand the bag upright (bell end down) and have it be stable. The shoulder strap has heavy-duty hardware for a solid and safe connection to the bag's D-rings, and can be used in more than one configuration. The hand carrying straps (one at the mouthpiece end and one above the valves) are very sturdy and thick, rolled and about 3/4" in diameter, which make them very comfortable to hold. There is a thick rubber handle on the mouthpiece end handle and a wrap-around closure on the valve area handle. I do wish it had a larger outside pocket for more mutes since I use more, but this is a really great bag and I love it! It's also quite comfortable to wear strapped over the shoulder (I ride a bike and this is perfect). Highly recommended!
