Comments about Yamaha YHR-667D Geyer Series Detachable Bell Double French Horn:
i recently bought this french horn and it sounds great for a mass produced company like yamaha. if you want a nice rich tone like those of the conn 8d or 10d then i would highly recommend this horn. it says modeled after the geyer but that only has to do with the slick moving trigger. however this horn dents very easily compared to my alexander. and it does not deliver the zing you get when playing in a loud tone on an alexander or europeon horn but it makes up for it with the easiest high range ever known to french horns. if your looking for a less expensive conn and want the same quality and sound, this is the horn to get.
