I use this in 2 places. One, I use it in the output jack of the last pedal on my board to connect to the cable running back to my AMPLIFIER. It saves the space of having my cable stick straight out of the pedal saving about 6 inches AND I can just wrap up my cable flip the connector over and store it in the board, never having to disconnect!! Second, I have one connected to the opposite end of the cable which inputs IN to my Amp. By doing this I can run my cable off to the side and along AND DOWN the side of the amp, rather than having it hanging straight out and hanging down the front where someone may step on it and bust it at the input jack!! I am a BASS Player using a 15 ft. cable into a small pedal board with 6 EFFECTS PEDALS and then into a 20 ft. cable back to my Amplifier. I Have NOT had any TONE LOSS or TONE CHANGE using 2 of THESE Right Angle connectors in my line!!

Great design for chaining forward facing pedals to side input pedals. I use it with another offset plug and it makes a nice, short, solid connection between pedals.
It's also good for plugging in my SG to a straight input plug. That way I can switch between my strat (which requires a straight input cord) and my SG, which has the input on the guitar's face. The plug sticking straight out on the SG always gets in the way.
Unfortunately, I ordered 2 to start with, and 1 was DOA.
I like the all metal construction, so it's still worth ordering another one.

The space saved allowed me to fit one more pedal and still get the carry cover closed while leaving everything together.

Well made, really good quality, had got some over a year ago, just bought some more, they're great in tight spaces. the knurls are cut good and deep, which enable a good grip, for install or uninstall.

Comments about Live Wire 1/4" Right Angle Adapter:

I bought these because I needed to convert a couple of cables to right angle connectors on one end. These did not fit the application I had in mind because they are more bulky than I expected. However, if you need to convert a cable end to right angle in an emergeny these may work for you as long you have space for the hookup.

          Don't bother.

Comments about Live Wire 1/4" Right Angle Adapter:

The adapters I received were not the ones pictured. The internal contact was bent so far shut that I could not insert a cable and when I very gently attempted to bend it back, it broke. So I grabbed the other. Same problem. It didn't break but the cable will not even go all the way in the jack, no matter what I do. Even when it makes contact the resulting sound is terrible, probably due to there being NOTHING insulating the ground. Great buy if you feel like soldering and fixing it yourself, otherwise, get real cables...

          Works as it should

Comments about Live Wire 1/4" Right Angle Adapter:

Got one of these several months ago for use with a 7-string bass with a side-body jack. It works exactly as it should. No effect on tone whatsoever. The only minor problem I had with it after a while was intermittent but very infrequent signal cutouts, but I fixed this by duct taping the adapter to the cable. Will definetely be getting more of these whenever I buy straight-straight cables.

Didn't notice any difference in tone

Comments about Live Wire 1/4" Right Angle Adapter:

I would have to disagree with the guy who said this adapter killed his tone. I didn't notice any difference in the tone after using it. It appears to be made from the same heavy duty chromed steel that guitar cord jacks are made from, so I'm not sure how it could change your tone. It's just a metal extension of the guitar cord jack itself. I have a real crowded pedal board and got three of these, which made it much easier to attach or swap out guitar or patch cords.
