        Comments about Paige Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

Through no fault of the Capo, it doesn't store too well at the "normal" behind-the-nut location due to my Banjo having a Head stock Volute, (or Heel). Gave 5stars cause I'm sure it would be excellent for a "Volute-less" instrument. Gb bg

With the fitting of this capo, I can reach all the strings easier than with the Kyser capo.

                  Comments about Paige Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

I needed a mandolin capo for one song that uses open-string drone, and standard tuning was too low for my voice.

                  Good fit on the neck.

No buzzing, plays well, no problems.

                  Comments about Paige Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

This capo is well built, affordable and works great. Unfortunately, there is no way to keep it on hand for easy use. They say toy can store behine the nut but if you do makes some chords (like a B7) impossible to play.

                      Comments about Paige Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

I had never purchased a Paige capo before, but being as how I had heard good things about them, when I went to pick one up for use on my newly bought banjo, I figured I'd give it a whirl.

I do like how sturdy the thing feels, and it seems, but like a Shubb, like nothing much will go wrong with it. Time will tell I suppose...

The only issue I have with it, is that it's not at all what I would call a one-handed operation capo...I have to hold it in place on the fretboard where I want it to be, in order to screw it down tightly in place. Also, I had heard that you could park the capo behind the nut of the instrument when it is not in use, so you don't have to completely remove it when not in use, but that isn't so, at least with banjos, or my banjo specifically. That may have been something that only works with most guitars, being as how my banjo has a small ridge on the back of the neck that causes it to be too thick for the capo to go over, eve at maximum extension. Overall though, it's a good, high-quality capo that I think will last for years down the road!
