Comments about First Note 15 Note Wood Xylophone:

Bought this product for my nephew's 4th birthday. He has been playing music for the past 2 years. This product did not produce a good sound, but he was intent to play the music. The wood splintered within ten minutes of playing on several of the keys. The return policy is not easy and we may not even be able to return in on account of opening the box. This is poor quality and sound.

Pretty looks, but not pretty sound

Comments about First Note 15 Note Wood Xylophone:

I'm a professional percussionist and married to one as well. We bought this product and returned it immediately. The main reason is that the tuning is poor, which renders it worthless. I wouldn't keep the thing in my house even if it was free. It's crucial for young children to have access to correctly tuned instruments as they are just building their musical foundations. Also, the tone is inconsistent, and we were not pleased with the varying width of the keys--in fact they get wider at the higher range, which is opposite to the progression on good quality instruments. Don't buy a cheap xylophone or bell set. If you don't have much to spend, get a Remo Kids drum or tambourine.
