The Squier Classic Vibe Series from Fender is based on the iconic electric guitar and bass designs from the '50s and '60s that put Fender on the map and helped to revolutionize modern music, but with a few modern refinements like updated neck profiles and custom pickups to better suit today's players. While not intended to be period-correct recreations of those vintage axes, the Classic Vibe Series will get you the cool looks, smooth feel and smoking tone of Fender's early masterpieces, but with improved playability and performance, and at a fraction of the cost of a vintage collectable. The series covers the most prized axes of Fender's early lineup, from the classic twang of the '50s Butterscotch Blonde Telecaster to the muscular thump of the'60s Jazz bass. For instance, with the'50s Tele, you can get either Vintage Blonde or Butterscotch finish on a pine body, with a retro-cool black pickguard and vintage tint gloss maple neck, carved with a modern-feel "C" shape and 9-1/2" radius and loaded with medium-jumbo frets. The twang comes courtesy of custom single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets on the Butterscotch, or the slightly mellower Alnico III magnets on the Vintage Blonde pickups. Either way, you've got a Tele that will keep you honky-tonkin' all through the night, at an incredible price! The Telecaster Custom model boasts a gorgeous three-color sunburst finish and double binding on an alder body with a mint green pickguard. Custom Alnico V pickups and a vintage-style string-through-body 3-tree Tele bridge round out the package. For Tele players looking for that mellow semi-hollow sound, check out the Thinline, with a beautiful natural-finish mahogany body, sporting the classic f-hole and an eye-catching white pearloid pickguard. For the Strat players out there, Squire's got you covered with a Classic Vibe '50s model, available in Olympic White, Fiesta Red, or 2-Color Sunburst on an alder body with a modern-feel neck, and loaded with three custom Alnico III Strat pickups for plenty of sustain and exceptional clarity even when cranking the distortion, and a vintage-style 6-saddle tremolo/whammy bar setup, for plenty of retro-surf vibrato action. The'60s version comes in 3-Color Sunburst with Tortoise shell pickguard or Candy Apple Red with White pickguard, and is loaded with the slightly more aggressive custom Alnico V single-coils, as well as vintage-style tuners and tremolo, and that super-comfy modern C-shape neck. Both the '50s and '60s models are available in left-handed Sunburst versions, for the right-brained players among us. For those of you holding down the bottom end, Squire offers Classic Vibe '50s and '60s models of the Precision Bass, with all the power and grace of the revolutionary originals, and upgraded with a more user-friendly 9-1/2" radius neck and HiMass four-saddle bridge for smoother setup and playability. The '50's version features slightly wider string spacing than the original and a custom P-Bass Alnico V single-coil pickup, while the'60s model boasts a custom split single coil. The '60s Jazz Bass has loads of classic cool, with a slim, fast-action 9-1/2" radius neck, two custom Jazz single-coil Alnico V pickups with individual volume controls, and a master tone control. Whatever your choice, they all blend time-tested designs with modern refinements, at a very old-school price! Get your Squier Classic Vibe axe today!
