With the Verve BK2000R Combo Snare and Bell Kit the student will be able to start learning snare drum and mallet percussion. This combination kit includes a 30 note, 2-1/2 octave bell set and 5-1/2" x 14" steel snare drum with tone control and silent overlay pad. Both are easily mountable on the included stands and store easily in the carryall padded bag with rolling luggage cart. Also includes a tunable drum pad, drum sticks, bell mallets, and music rack.

The equipment in this kit seem pretty OK...just right for our family, who had a kid who made up his mind that he was going to be his grade school band's best percussionist! It wasn't so expensive that if he changed his mind it would be the end of the world.
.Actual kit equipment is fine for a beginner.
The equipment in this kit seem pretty OK for a newbie just learning percussion.
The CASE however, leaves a lot to be desired. 7 months/30-some trips back and forth to school and it's trashed and must be replaced. Zipper broke and ripped out, rendering the case completely useless. The poor design contributed greatly to this: the case becomes imbalanced on the rolling cart (it doesn't actuall attach); spins around on the handle, causing the whole kit to fall over on a regular basis
Pretty good for the price, except for the case. MF was the least expensive source we found.

The bag and the rollers do not connect. The case falls over all the time, every day. the snare drum takes a lot of tuning and dosen't sound very good. The bells are fine but they send hard hard mallets. They sound awful, I had to buy softer mallets. I have no idea what the rag is for. The stands are ok but the book holder that hooks onto the bells blocks some of the notes. The practice pad is nice and the snare drum pad is good to have.
OK.
Kind of cheap.
