Comments about MXL FR-351 Lavalier Microphone:

We bought two of these when they were on sale for half price. I am very disappointed with their performance, even at this price. The bass is exaggerated to the point bumping the mic cable causes a lot of rumble. They also have an extremely high hiss level.
The 7 year old lavaliere mics I bought at the Shack blows these away.
They do reproduce audio when you speak but the noise level makes them totally unusable for my application.

It Sounds Good And It's Portable

Comments about MXL FR-351 Lavalier Microphone:

I found a way to use some velcro straps so it can dangle in front of the speaker of my fender mustang. This is going to be useful in doing live recordings of myself in small venues like coffee shops. You don't have to bring a 57 or another stand or anything. I've made some recordings here in my apartment to try it before my 1st gigs this summer and they sound great. I've also found a sweet spot for using it to mic the dobro (tie a strip of velcro around the tail pice). So if you're gonna use it to mic and instrument it's definately worth the money
