From one of the biggest names in microphones, big sound at a smaller size, smaller price.

The Neumann TLM 102 defines a new generation of studio condenser microphones. This applies not only to the design of the microphone but also to its price.

Neumann reduced the overall size of the TLM 102 mic to make it exceptionally compact. Here's a microphone that unites all of the design components typical of a Neumann mic. The harmonious proportions and gleaming grille ring ensure that even at first glance, the TLM 102 condenser mic attracts attention.

In the interior of the TLM 102 is a newly developed large-diaphragm cardioid capsule with a maximum sound pressure level of 144dB. Use the TLM 102 to record percussion, drums, amps, and other very loud sound sources.

Instruments that are not especially loud also benefit from the very fast transient response of the TLM 102 condenser mic. However its most important applications are in the realm of vocals and speech. A slight boost above 6kHz provides for excellent voice presence in the overall mix. Up to 6kHz, the frequency response is extremely linear, ensuring minimal coloration, and a clearly defined bass range. The TLM 102 mic capsule's elastic suspension suppresses structure-borne noise. A pop screen integrated into the grille attenuates plosives in vocal and speech recording.

Due to its price and flexible field of application, the Neumann TLM 102 is an ideal condenser microphone for home recording and project studios, as well as for broadcasting-especially when clear lines of sight to the speakers are a priority.

  • Large-diaphragm microphone with cardioid directional characteristic (pressure gradient transducer)
  • Compact, characteristic but smaller-scale Neumann design
  • Very high maximum sound pressure level
  • Slight presence boost above 6kHz

Comments about Neumann TLM 102 Condenser Microphone:

after 12 years of music being a big part in my life i am finally able to afford the finer equipment we all dream about. yes this isnt a neuman u87 or a sony c800 but it gives its run for the money and i can tell u that i have worked with many of mics in the past and u will NEVER go wrong with the tlm102. i have never owned a higher end mic but have used some, i personally started out with a mxl 990, went to the blue bluebird and akg perception 220, ive even owned a nady tcm 1050 at one time and although these are decent mics for the price the neuman tlm102 is by far the best and wisest decision i have made in my search for a mic. i have recorded numerous amounts of vocals, acoustic guitars and pianos into pro tools and the sound reproduction is crazy. if u are lookin for a mic in this price range or even a little higher i would choose this mic hands down, u get what u pay for and more. after all it is a neumann... u cant go wrong

Comments about Neumann TLM 102 Condenser Microphone:

For the price the mic's performance is amazing. The first vocalist I recorded using it could not believe how good they sounded. The small size is deceptive. I am very pleased and will get another one very soon.

Comments about Neumann TLM 102 Condenser Microphone:

I just got this mic about 2 weeks ago and I thank God for this instrument! I plug the mic up today to give it a test run and I was overwhelmed by its sound of my vocals when singing through it! I always wanted a Neumann but couldn't afford one until now. Neumann did a fantastic job on capabilities of this mic and it can be used as your go to mic. I thanks God for this mic because it is truly a wonderful blessing. If, you are looking for a great sounding mic get TLM 102. You won't be sorry!
