I've owned several Bose products as well as some from other manufacturers — Bose QC15, QC20i, QC30, and QC35s. The QC20s are, hands down, the undisputed champions in noise cancellation! The in-ear tips block out much of the background noise that is still present with the over-ear headphones (QC15, QC35). The ANC takes care of the rest. I don't know why, but the ANC is even better than the newer QC30s. They are amazing! If you don't require bluetooth and you want/need the absolute best in noise cancellation, you should choose these over any other headphones — Bose or otherwise!

Received these as a Christmas gift and was very pleased with the sound quality and fit. Noise canceling works well and sound is clear from the low-end to the highs.

Obviously, the noise canceling feature requires frequent charging, which is one of the major down sides to these headphones. But, the most disappointing aspect was definitely the weak construction of the headphone wire, which broke down and frayed within 15 months of purchase, causing the audio to die completely.

If you're someone who moves your phone in and out of your pocket frequently or works out in your headphones, then you'd better pull the cord out of your phone jack and straighten the cord each time you take your phone out of your pocket, or prepare for your wire to fray quickly and the headphones to break within the first 2 years.

Finally earbuds that not only allow me to comfortably IMMERSE myself in the music, listen to airline announcements, communicate with others AND not fiddle with the buds or play catch with wireless buds on airports escalators!

All around great purchase

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I bought these to negate the frequent chatter in the office; I was impressed with how well these work. Sometimes I don't even play music, I just use the noise cancelling option, it's like I'm in another world, I can focus so well now. The way I see it, it's an ROI.

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

You certainly get what you pay for. Sound quality is clear as can be, it can be worn for hours on end with no discomfort. I've had them for about two years and they still look brand new, no scratches or tears in the fabric or leather. And when you turn the noise cancellation on, it's like everything around you stops, and it's just you and your music. These will always be some of my favorite headphones.

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I went to Perimeter mall in Atlanta to purchase these and it was worth every penny. On my way home I took the Marta which is usually very loud....i couldn't hear a thing. They don't tell you on the box that your ears are totally blinded to everything but the music.

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I saw a bunch of one star reviews and I thought that is really insane. Let me start off by saying I fly a lot and these make a huge difference on the plane (including for screaming babies). Anyone saying the ear cups are tearing etc.. well it comes in a case and if you don't put it back in the case or take care of this luxury product that's going to happen! Highly recommend I never travel without these. they are so awesome as is the sound quality.

Durability Beyond Beleif

By MUCPATENT

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I have owned my pair of Q 20's for just over a year. They perform exceptionally well for my rail commute and flights for business. This past weekend, much to my horror, I found that I had not removed them from my pants pocket and they went through a cycle in my washer an dryer! When I removed the clothing from the dryer and saw what I had done, I was already contemplating getting another pair. But, just for giggles, I decided to try them out. I plugged them into my iPhone and, remarkably, they worked as well as ever. Who would have thought. Maybe you could start promoting them as Washer/Dryer safe! Anyway, thanks BOSE for producing such a rugged, top-performing product.

Best Headphones I've Ever Had!!1

By Greatness31

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I have had these headphones for about 2 and a half years and they are by far the best headphones ever. This includes over ear, on ear, and in ear headphones. I've had multiple Bose, Monster, and Beats headphones and nothing compares to these. I recommend this to anybody who is looking for headphones. The price might seem steep before you have them in hand but the quality all around is worth way more than the price

Best travel money you can spend if you fly often

By Dread Pirate Jeff

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I started out ages ago with a set of QC-15s, and I absolutely loved them for travel, which was my primary use. The one complaint I had about them was that it is difficult to sleep on an airplane with big over-the-ear cans on your head. Then the QC-20 came out and my needs were finally met.

Lets be honest, despite Bose claims, acoustically, these are good, but not great. They're probably in the mid-rage for acoustic quality, better than dollar store earbuds, not even close to approaching a good set of Shure or Etymotics, though.

However, I have tried and bought many ANR headsets over the years and nothing really comes close to the Bose noise cancelling setup. And that's why you buy these, and why you pay a premium for them (beyond the typical Bose inflated costs). The noise cancelling on these IS the bar that others try to reach, but pretty much always fall short.

They cancel out so much of that awful drone in-flight, on the train, or just about anywhere, and they do so without having to shove tight fitting foam or rubber tips into your ear canals. The rubber tips are super comfortable to wear. I've worn mine upwards of 16 hours before without complaint. The foam tip buds like my Shures I can only wear for a couple hours at a time before they start to hurt my ear canals.

My only complaint about the QC-20 is that they're cabled, not bluetooth. Bose answered that need also with the new QC-30, however, the QC-30 has significantly less battery life. I fly to Asia often, and the 16+ hour battery life of my QC-20 lasts the entire flight. The 10 hour battery life of the QC-30 means I'll run out of juice before I've even crossed the Pacific.

So for me, I'll probably keep my QC-20s (and maybe buy a newer pair as a back up one day) and find a decent bluetooth adapter for them so I can enjoy the battery life. If Bose updates the QC-30 to extend battery life to 16 hours minimum, I'll certainly consider upgrading.

I bought the Qc20i about 2 years ago, still going strong. Great awesome sound, beautiful detail in 3 phases, bass, midrange, and treble. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I bought the over ear version but didn't like that I couldn't rest my head/fall asleep on flights due to their bulk. I traded them in (which I never knew they did!!) 3 years ago for this version and I've been nothing but thrilled with them. Their versatility in noise canceling without the bulk is unparalleled. Couldn't recommend any higher.

Love noise cancelling and the size

By bierhere

from undisclosed

Verified Buyer

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I use them everyday on my daily commute. I can sit behind the engine of an MBTA commuter rail train and and they drown out the engine noise and any chatter among the passengers. They are also a must for air travel. What I find most appealing beyond the noise cancelling is the storage size. I've own a pair of QC15 headphones and the noise cancelling on these is equal and it takes up 1/5 of the space which is important for frequent air travel. I don't have room in my carry-on bag for larger items.

I really hope that Bose puts out a version without the battery that draws power from the phone or can come up with a smaller design for bluetooth. Until either of these is true, I'll be sticking with my QC20.

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

I bought these a little more than a year ago and have been lightly using it. Now you can see that the cusions are torn and also all worn out. For the price that is charged for these it is disappointing that these fall apart so easily

It is a great noise cancelling headphone but it´s fragile and, worst thant that, it´s limited because is not compatible with samsung android and Iphone, so if you have a samsung and a ipod it will not workout. So, it´s very limited, a pit....

Cable is so cheaply made - broke within 60 days

By Ali

Comments about Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones (Apple):

Wow. The cable/cord is so cheaply made i am shocked. After about 30 days of use I only got sound out of the left side of the headphones, and then to make matters worse the metal pin from the cord/jack BROKE OFF in my ipad! It's really a shame, because everything else about these headphones is OUTSTANDING — but only for 30 days until the pin from the cord beaks. :-(
