This product has everything I needed in a set of earphones. Bluetooth, noise cancelling & works with phone. When 1st trying them a bit disappointed with the sound & attributed that to the noise canceling technology. A previous set from Bose did a great job of noise cancelling but the sound wasn't that good even though Bose sound is normally pretty good. Downloading the JBL app. took care of that & with the control you get with the included equalizer the sound is great now. Another thing you must do is take the time to see which set of buds works best for your ear. A proper fit contributes to a better sound as well & facilitates the noise cancelling attributes. They're comfortable also. The one criticism I would have is they're not very powerful regarding volume. Sometimes I like to rock & these don't get up there. Perhaps with the noise cancelling aspect they might be loud enough, we'll see. All together a fine product. Clicked average on durability only because I just got these & don't know yet.

I had tried about 4 other models of wireless Bluetooth headsets and had no luck with them. I admit they were inexpensive, so I wasn't out much. So my husband got me the JBL elite 100 for Christmas. He said this was not anything cheap, so it should work fine. Today is only March 16th and I am in the process of my 2nd replacement. I am now going to try another model.

Best headphones I've ever owned

By molliebear72

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

My family has gone through so many headphones that I've lost count. It seemed like my teen son needed a new pair every few months. The JBL Everest Elite 100 headphones have outlasted all of them. Yeah, they are a little pricey, but I think back on how much I've spent on less expensive brands and how long they lasted. These are well worth the few extra dollars and then some.

Comprehensive Review

Verified Buyer

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

I recently bought the JBL Everest Elite 100 even though I had a pair of LG Tone Platinum. The one thing I can say about this pair of headphones is WOW. First off, the sound you get when wearing these headphones is bar none. The bass hits poignantly while the treble and mids hit clean and well. The only issue is no retractable or magnetic earpieces so that may become an issue. The build of the product is good. I originally thought the neck piece would be an issue but the headphones do not shift the way one would think because the build seems to be heavy enough to hold still but light enough to not be a nuisance on the neck. The extra piece to hold them in while doing exercise are definitely a good addition. Overall a great product with great sound for those who are willing to purchase a product worth its price in my opinion.

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

I like to wear them at work on standby and when I go to listen to music they are already dead....im taking them back for a refund...however the noise cancellation works great but it drains your battery super quick.

Amazing sound; awkward for working out

By lalamags

from GA, United States

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

2 weeks ago I walked into a store offering a variety of headphones looking for a new pair of ear buds with active noise cancelling. I was looking at that other brand but couldn't justify the expense. That's when I saw these on the shelf for a lot less than that other brand. I quickly read some reviews and decided to purchase knowing I'd have 15 days to return. I'm on day 14 and I'm honestly a little torn. The sound quality is INCREDIBLE (esp compared to my old LG tone pro's) but I find them very awkward when working out. I have a small neck and even with the sport pieces on, they still slide off when I'm doing crunches, etc. They aren't super flexible so I can't easily loop them under the straps of my sports bra. The battery life is also a little disappointing. I primarily wanted the Active Noise Cancelling b/c my cube-mate at work chews loudly and it sounds like she's eating nuts and bolts from a hardware store. With my old LGs I had to crank the volume up but I could still hear her...not with these!!! That alone was worth the money spent. I may have to go back to using my LGs at the gym if I decide to keep these. Suggestion to Harman: add a flexible piece that would allow you to clip the ends together so they don't slide off when working out.

Excellent Sound Quality, Low battery backup

By justOneUser

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

Best quality sound experience as it is expected from JBL brand. Herman Engineers have done very well work on sound but they forgot to look after the battery backup. Many other competitive products gives lot better battery backup

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

Unfortunately they wont recharge - after the first and only use. I plug in the cable the red light comes on to indicate it is charging then five seconds later it is off again. now the only thing these headphones do when i turn them on is say "Battery Low" and turn themselves off again. - Not happy.

Disappointed in battery life

By lighthorse

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

The earphones work great when they are working. They are rated by JBL to have a six hour battery life but mine will not work for more than two and a half hours without a recharge.

Not As Amazing As I Have Come To Expect From JBL

By bmann

from Rockford, IL, United States

Comments about JBL Everest Elite 100 NXTGen Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones:

I'm going to be a little harsh on these earbuds. Pros; Loud, Noise Canceling, Comfortable AROUND THE NECK, Easy to Use Cons; odd sized ear tips (i wish they had the same fit as the Everest 100), Noise Canceling is mediocre. This device doesn't carry the Everest title as well as its counter part. The non-elite version of this device has better noise isolation than these. Now theoriticaly that would be combated by the ANC, but that doesnt seem to be what i expected. Overall these are really nice headphones but I had Higher expetations after using the Everest Elite 700
