I got this mixer a while back. Its worked great for me so far. I haven't had any problems with it. So far I've got no complaints. I really like that it has inputs in the back so you can hook up turntables, if you choose to. Overall I think it is a great buy.
I have been in the business for many years. Carrying loads of equipment gets old real quick. The CDMIX3 has taken a load off my back. The features are exactly what an already experienced DJ needs. Just hook up your powered speakers and go. It's well worth the money. The MP3 playback was just icing on the cake.
I just purchased it today and when I tried it out at home, the left CD drive did not boot up nor would the tray open. This is unfortunate because the CD Mix 3 appears to be a nice basic no-frills unit in a compact package. It would have be nice to use the CD Mix 3 as a secondary DJ setup with a pair of powered speakers for weddings, outdoor parties or simply for "value-minded" customers who only need basic DJ service. I guess I will never get the chance since I am returning it first thing tomorrow.
I have been using the CDMix-3 for approximately one and a half years, and have no complaints. The layout is great and the ease of set-up and use are near perfect. I previously used a CD Mix-1, which developed a tracking issue on one deck and had to be repaired (it is now reserved for emergency back-up). I plan to purchase another CD Mix-3 in the future (just in case).
