I can't tell you how many times I've stepped on this exceptionally long wire and dropped them. Let's face it .. it just happens when you're dj'ing, but they have yet to break. If there's one thing every headphone should have, its deteachable parts. Both ear pieces conveniently snap off as well as the cords from each ear piece, therefore, if you step on the cord, they unplug before they overpull & bust the wire. The sound quality is ok, but like any other decent dj out there, I use only 1 headphone/ear to listen to my cue and the other to the live music to beatmatch. The cord had to be replace once, but hey, I've had them for 2 yrs now and the work just as well as they did when I first bought them. most of these new heaphones out there have rotating plastic parts that snap on the first drop..very comfortable as they swallow ur entire ear to cancel out extra noise..removeable ear pieces to satisfy comfort. xlr jack as well as stereo jack for universal compatability...overall, highly durable, low price, decent sound quality. great buy!

I really wish I'd have gone with different headphones, I don't recommend these at all.

Lightweight and Comfortable

These are not for critical monitoring, but for that you would use speakers, right? The sound of these headphones is much more than adequate for all but the most critical monitoring, and they are lightweight and comfortable, which makes a big difference when you're recording a two-hour concert.

excelent, considering the price

By Anonymous

First off, I have never owned a pair of headphones that lasted more than a year before these, I have been beating the hell out of them for almost 4 years now and they keep coming back for more. The sound quality is very tollerable, I would hesitate to use them in the studio, but for every day listening you can't go wrong. They are fairly comfortable for the first hour or two, but after more than 3, you will need to take them off.

Great Headphones

By Rider

from Temple, TX

Usually I am picky about rating things, but I can honestly say that these deserve 9 stars. They are no 150$ pair of headphones, but for their price, they are probably one of the best you can get. I expected them to be a 30$ pair of cheap headphones, and I came out thinking 'these better be some freakin awesome headphones if I am going to keep them'. well, I did keep them. The frequency response isn't that impressive, but they still give a strong refined sound. I record on my computer, right now I do the guitars, bass, and vocals (drum machine on software) so I need to be able to get an accurate idea of what the mix will sound like on a home stereo system or a car system. My old headphones just couldn't cut it, but these certainly do.They have great bass response, making them good for DJ work, but they also do very well for rock music. As I said, if you are looking for a great pair of low priced headphones, get these, you won't be disappointed. They are perfect for low budget recording.

I lost my old AKG phones so a friend see those and bought for me. Nice sound, with little accuaracy at the mid but flat at the bass and hi section. Get one if you couldn't expense more than 60 bucks.

Not bad

Good headphones for listening to music. They're huge, though. I mean huge. You look weird with them on so don't leave your house with them. No good for the headphone jack on your amp when used with distortion. A bit too pricy for what you get. But I'm stuck with them now.

Great everyday phones

By nemo-dRnGz

from California

I use these at work everyday (video editing) and was so impressed with their combination of comfort vs. decent sound quality that I went and bought a pair for the home studio. Are they the best headphones of all time? No. But in my opinion the difference between these and headphones costing up to four times as much is not strong enough to warrant spending that kind of cash. Plus, to be honest, I find these so much more comfortable than the heavier, more expensive phones that I would probably reach for these first, anyway. They also come with the 1/4" adapter and have "breakaway" plugs where the cord meets the earphones, meaning when you step on the (really long) cord by accident, your phones will unplug before they break. A cool feature on headphones so cheap. I'm satisfied with them.
