The LP575 Tapon Cowbell is the highest pitched bell from LP. The Tapon is a dryer and smaller bell than the Black Beauty cowbell. LP crafts the Tapon Cowbell from a single piece of steel with full gas-welded seams. The LP Tapon cowbell bell really cuts through the mix.

Comments about LP575 Tapon Cowbell:
I'm still looking for a cowbell to play off my Black Beauty. It's not this one. The pitch, to me, seems lower than my Black Beauty and it sustains. No doubt because of the welded seams, as opposed to the BB's spot welded tacks. The Tapon is more "Bell" than "Cow" and the BB is more "Cow" than "Bell". Having said that, The Tapon cowbell is well made and I would recommend it, if it's what you're looking for. If all you need is a regular cowbell to play rock, funk, Latin, there are better choices and Musician's Friend has plenty to choose from. The hanger card that came wired to the mounting eye describes this bell better. 4" mountable cowbell..smallest and highest pitch of traditional shaped LP bells..moderately dry sound with light overtones..one piece of steel with full, welded seams.. Sound cuts, a must when you need an accent with sustain. That's exactly how mine sounds. Easy to control overtones with pieces of magnetic tape/sheeting stuck on the inside. (you know those refrigerator magnets that come on pizza boxes and the Sunday paper.) Bottom line: No, not what I thought it would be but as a recording musician and soccer fan, I'll use it!
