Nice cowbell. Well priced, strong, expressive. No problems with the mounting bracket even mounting to smooth L-rods. This is more of a rock sounding cowbell, but Latin sounds can be coaxed from it... actually it can be easily "converted" just by placing a good sized magnet inside the cowbell between the foam pieces. This will add mass and sustain causing the cowbell to 'ring' out a lot more and you can adjust the pitch by moving the magnet around. It is like a totally different percussion after that. So there you go - I prefer hand hammered bronze cowbells but this trick only works with the steel. Great cowbell even without doing anything to it, though. Recommended.

    Comments about Stagg Cowbell:

Good extra piece of percussion to add more flavor. Yes, there are instances where the drummer, who normally handles the cowbell chores, has their hands full. Or in my case, where I have no drummer, have to rely on loops for recording--this gives it a bit more human element.

Yes, there are better cowbells, but this is perfect for my purposes, since I don't use it that often.

    Comments about Stagg Cowbell:

This is a great value. It was so much cheaper than the LP I didn't know what to expect. I know I know...it's only a cowbell but hey it DOES make a difference. I'm happy...this one has just the right "klonk", I added it next to my smaller one....perfect pair and the mount is solid. Great quality, great sound, I can't believe the price. BUY IT

We added a clapper to the bells and hung them on the cable with our bird feeders. Now when the bears start messing with the feeder we hear about it in time to chase them off. Not what you expected huh ??

              Great moo!

              Comments about Stagg Cowbell:

It was purchased for my 6 year-old son to add to his Pulse Jr. kit. It was a great addition and he has really enjoyed learning how to incorporate the cowbell to his grooves. The cowbell mounts nicely and maintains a solid position despite the forceful beatings it receives. Great product for the price, especially for a beginner or someone looking for a good sounding and inexpensive addition to their drum kit. Keep it up Musician's Friend!
