This bag actually deserves 4.5 stars. I can't really say anything bad about it other than it's top handle. If you plan to carry it like a back pack then it's not an issue however lets face it, if your going to put about ten cymbals or more in this bag and prefer to use the top handle to carry it, then over time I can see this area of the bag stretching and possibly ripping due to the stress on the single handle. 2 handles instead of one at the top gives this bag 5 stars. This bag has a great design inside and out. You'll love the inner sleeves that help to keep the cymbals from rubbing each other during transport. Also the outside hihat/splash compartment is a great feature and adds the final plus to this bag. Good buy ! get it !

Although the design is tempting...to free your hands in order to carry more gear, SKIP this and invest in a sturdy cymbal vault. First mistake i made...attaching a stick bag to the front where there's a D ring. (this is where you're supposed to attach a stick bag) WRONG. It tore the seam near the top where the zippers meet. I then sewed that back together. Second mistake: thinking the reinforced handle on the top could actually be used to carry this bag. WRONG. Again, the bag tore, exposing my cymbals. 3rd mistake: Trying to now carry this by the backstraps. WRONG! They have now torn away from the pack. Note: i have NOT overloaded this bag. I carry a set of 14" inch sabian hi=hats. A 10" zildian splash, 18" zildian crash, 16" sabian crash, and a 21" zildian ride. There's still plenty room for more cymbals, but this bag simply can not handle the strain of moving from point A to point B. Do not waste your money.

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

Great transport or storage bag. For the cheap price, gets the job done. Will hold several cymbals comfortably including your ride. Hats will not fit with clutch attached. Cannot be compared to similar types of bags that are triple the cost. If you're on a budget, this will work, just don't expect more from it.

Use it to get from gig to gig. I like the back pack straps, any drummer knows that it's challenging to move so any thing that frees up your hands to carry something else can mean one less trip in and out.

I have several cymbal bags and clearly this is the best one that protects my cymbals. I really like the shoulder straps as it frees up my hands to carry more equipment. One less trip to make to the trailer.

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

Trusted the Zildjian name to deliver a bag that would last at least 2-3 years without issues developing. I play out ~2-3 NIGHTS per month and have had the bag for just under a year. Last nights gig, I had a second zipper break "off". This isn't the zipper itself that has gone bad, but the "grip" that you use between your thumb and forefinger to close any of the different storage areas. The Zipper seems sturdy, the grip seems nice a bulky, but obviously whatever method is used to marry the two together...not so much. I do NOT have it overstuffed...1 22" Ride, 1 16" crash, 14" crash and a set of 14" hi hats. I like the over the shoulder design, but thats useless if the you can't close the storage areas. Pay more for something sturdier...sorry, but Zildjian should never put their name on this.

Been a Zildjian user for years. This bag is not very well thought out. It ripped the second time I used it and continues to rip in different areas with each gig. From a manufacturer like Zildjian I was expecting much better quality. Well, can't win 'um all.

Nice bag for transporting my cymbals (20", 18", 16"x2, 14" hihats) in my car. Two months of use and no issues. It should be obvious that if you're going to be throwing your cymbals around in the back of a van or have other people helping you load in and out, then you should get a hard case for your cymbals. But if you're carrying them yourself, this is a good option.

Lot wrote in the zippers to weak or bag material to thin or something. "Wrong" It's just what I need. I carry a Crash couple Ride and a High Hat.
Play "Nothing but Zildjian" The Bag fits nicely. But then I don't slam stuff about. If you tend to your stuff you don't have to worry about this one.
