These stands are EXCELLENT for the price. I have had no problems with my thick 22" Meinl Raker or my 20" Sabian APX Solid Crash. I hit cymbals heavy to soft and the stands take all the abuse and finess equally. I guess technique is at the root of ALL cymbal strikes. These stands have all the adjustment I need. The wall thickness/tubes seem thin but hold up to every crash and ping. Thanks a million for the fantastic price and quality!

I bought these stands to hold some inexpensive used cymbals for a house kit that we use at practice. You can't beat the price. With the low cost comes some losses. Teeth adjustments on the tilt and angle so not unlimited. Only two sections, most stands have three. Tubes are much thinner then normal. They don't fall over don't get me wrong but if I had a cymbal that was expensive I wouldn't trust them. If I was picky about exactly where my cymbals had to be, I would spend more. If I liked to place my cymbals high I'd get something else. I don't have these issues, so I am good. What's the old saying, "good from far, but far from good."

Comments about PDP 700 Series Cymbal Boom Stand - 2 Pack:

These stands are pretty well made and very affordable. They are also surprisingly thin. I have had no problems at all with stability, but I am not a heavy hitter. I can see someone that plays very hard knocking one over, but for anyone else, they are great.

Comments about PDP 700 Series Cymbal Boom Stand - 2 Pack:

It's a good stand for small crash cyms or splashes, but if you are using a 20" heavy ride, you may rethink this if you need a boom. The quality of the stand is great though. It's just not made for "booming" a heavy cymbal. It will tip over especially if you are an aggressive player.

Comments about PDP 700 Series Cymbal Boom Stand - 2 Pack:

I bought a 2-pack a couple years ago. I have gigged with one of the stands at least weekly (many times more often). After 2+ years, the bolt for the height adjustment finally gave in and stripped out. By comparison I have some high quality 700-series stands of another brand name that have lasted for about 20 years with no problems. But these are inexpensive and very lightweight. They even hold a 20" light ride no problem. So I bought another pair and that should last me another 5 years...

Comments about PDP 700 Series Cymbal Boom Stand - 2 Pack:

This is a great deal!! If you are advanced, a heavy hitter or looking for something to mount toms on, this is probably not the best choice. But I would recommend this to any beginner or to hold a 14" crash or splash.

These stands are okay for the price however the sound percussion stands are much better at the same price point. These have a small diameter main tube and are not suitable for a tom mount.

Comments about PDP 700 Series Cymbal Boom Stand - 2 Pack:

It is a very useful stand. Very cheap for two of them. I would recommend this to anyone just with a slight warning. On carpets it will be a little wobbly. This doesn't affect playing or the sound just is something that I found a little annoying.
