Not as heavy duty as I hoped it might be. It doesn't compare to my Sound Percussion boom stands that I bought (and would have bought more of if MF still sold them.)For the money its not a bad stand but it is a couple notches below the strength and quality of the SP's. I ended up using this stand to hold my 20" ride because that is where it fits best in the kit. For the ride it is only boomed out just a little and it seems to work ok there. Trying to put my new 18" crash on it didn't work out because of where I place it in my kit. The boom extends farther and then the stand becomes incapable of holding it without becoming unstable. Still not a bad price though (but like I said, my SP's were bought for the same price as the PDP and are better stands.)

I was looking for a good, sturdy, stand that I didnt have to pay $75 for. Well, this seemed to fit the bill. I have other PDP stands but this is not like them. When I opened the box, I was shocked to see how small it was. The diameter of the stand is small and the height isnt all that. Its like a beginner stand you see for those Toys r Us kits. It will work for now but i will eventually sideline this thing and get something beefier.

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I bought this stand to hold a 20" ride on my 8yr old son's junior drum set, and it works great for that purpose. It's not the most solid stand, but it doesn't wobble or tilt; even when you really dig into the ride hard.

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

Slips a little here and there. The clamp that holds the knurled cymbal arm. 2 sec fix. Your absent audience in the garage will wait. Patiently.

Awesomely priced stand for the quality. Legs have a small footprint that doesn't allow to to extend the boom out too far. Not too sure how well this will gig out considering it'll never leave my basement

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

This is a good basic stand. It will securely hold smaller or medium sized cymbals. I would not suggest this stand for a 22" Ride. I also wouldn't use it to hang a Tom Mount. I needed a light stand to hold a 20" Ride that I use with my Jazz Kit. It's perfect for that!

The stand is small and light weight. Perfect for a small cymbal. I would not recommend it for any cymbal larger than 14 inches.

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I needed a new stand for my 16" crash, but I didn't need anything too heavy or bulky, and this stand fits the bill perfectly! The hide-away boom was a feature that I liked about it. Almost all of my hardware is PDP, and I have never been disappointed in the quality of their gear! If you need a lightweight (but heavy-duty) stand you can't go wrong with this!!!

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

It seems to work pretty well for the money. Does it's job and doesn't wobble or come loose. My only concern is that it looks somewhat tiny and brittle compared to higher priced stands. Only time will tell if this thing is tough enough to last. I do feel like maybe it should be a tiny bit nicer for the money though.

This is a pretty good stand. It holds my 18" ride up no problem, but I wouldn't recommend this stand for a cymbal over 20". It's a great stand if you are low on money.
