Comments about Yamaha Single-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

i first got this stand with a stage custom kit in 1996 and it was intended to hold a floor tom and a ride. This stand after 20 years is still holding up. I currently use it at our practice space but it has seen its fair share of touring in its day. i currently mount a paiste 24 giant beat ride and a paiste 22 2002 crash with a clamp and a boom arm off of it and it holds both with ease. the only thing to watch is that over the years of tightening the threaded section of the height adjusters strip out and when you try to re-tap them the white metal used just splits. this happened with the snare stand from the light weight series, but keep in mind it took 20 years.

    Great Stand!!

Comments about Yamaha Single-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

I use thin cymbals and this stand serves me well so far. Not sure how stable it would be with say a 22" heavy ride.
Has features found on more expensive hardware.
The quality is there and if there is a problem Yamaha is happy to make it right!!
This stand is good for me because I don't gig anymore. I don't think it is rugged enough for constantly tearing down and setting up.
