      By the real cable.

Very simple, buy the right part. This is the right part for your connection between the Gk pickup and the Gr or other Roland unit.

If you want to use a Roland guitar synth, you need a 13 pin cable. I have 3, only 1 works now. The options are limited, as it's a Roland Synth specific format. Not nice that they keep the price so high, or don't make them better to last. 1 came with the synth, bought one more for back up, then a long one for some shows. The two shorter ones now don't work. One broken one always sends a pitch change message, the other sends no single on the A string. The 30 foot still works, and it gets the most live show abuse, go figure. But the options are limited, time to buy a 10 footer for the studio, and a back up 20 footer for live. The show must go on, just love my sythn to much to give up, but can't stand paying this much for 'disposable cables'

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

          I used this product with a Gk-2b and a Gk-3b going into a V-Bass and/or a VB-99.

It is no use in complaining since this cable is required for the V-guitar/bass gear. We are forced to buy this cable because there are no competitors that build a comparable cable. This is surprising considering the actual Roland gear is built to last.

Roland should be ashamed for putting out such an inferior product, but then again they might not care.

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

If you use any of the 13 pin connector equipment you know three things
            1. They are expensive
            2. They can be fragile even when given the best of care
            3. They are expensive.

So when you find a deal like this you have to jump on it. These guys made it happen.

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

Let me say this first: I absolutely LOVE my GR-55 synthesizer. It may be the greatest thing ever. Roland, I love you for creating this thing. BUT… the Roland 13 Pin Cable, which you HAVE to use when connecting the GK-3 divided pickup (or a guitar with a built-in divided pickup), is fragile. Incredibly fragile. The cheap plastic housing on the plugs breaks easily, even with careful use. And at the price it sells for (which Musician's Friend won't let me mention in this review), it's not exactly easy for me to have a backup. Roland, please redesign this piece of junk or sell it for a more reasonable price!

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

I purchased a GR-55 and have always used Roland Keyboards, but being a guitarist, I wanted synthesizer sounds from my guitar. I eventually made the purchase and within 6-8 weeks my cable kept falling out of the jack on my Godin xtsa. I love the synth! It is awsome! Now I am stuck spending another. I only play in my little home studio. I have M.S., so I didn't step on it. I am also surprised that no other companies make this cable. My positive suggestion would be that Roland engineers take another shot at the design. I will be glad when my new cable gets here. I just bought a new mixer, keyboard controller and Propellerhead Reason 8. Time to place my order for my cable. Thank You Musician's Friend.I love being able to shop and recieve shipments at home. It is really difficult when handicapped.

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

This is for Roland information! I Purchase my first GR1 Synthesizer in the 90's. Personally all the GR's that followed did not compare to the GR1. Roland PLEASE MAKE A REPLACEMENT. I have purchase 3 used ones over the years. The main weak link has always been the GKC 13-PIN CABLE. They must be used with extreme care. I always loop it around my guitar shoulder strap but after many years of doing this I realize to give the cable a longer life "leave it straight." Don't even store in your bag with tight bends!

Comments about Roland GKC 13-Pin Cable:

I thought I would save money by buying the cheap knockoff and 2 months later I noticed that the synth was triggering notes that I didn't play. I thought it was my settings or the synth at first until I jiggled the cable and it triggered notes on it own (short). Now I have the good cable and I noticed right away that the signal was solid and the midi had nano latency.
