These items are primarily products that have been previously returned by other customers. They are products that may have some cosmetic flaws such as scratches or nicks, or they may be like new and only the box has been opened. Either way, they are guaranteed to function perfectly. If you can live with a minor blemish or don't mind that the box has previously been opened, you'll save some serious bucks! Because of the random nature of flaws on specific items, we are unable to list specific details. Because the reasons for products becoming Scratch and Dent specials varies, it isn't possible for us to indicate the specific condition of each product. Also, due to the variability of these minor defects, exchanges aren't permitted for the purpose of replacing a Scratch and Dent item with the same item in hope of finding a relatively better one. Assessing the importance of cosmetic defects is subjective, so such exchanges are not possible.

• During shipping, the product was blemished, dented or scratched.
• In transit the manufacturer's packaging was damaged, but the contents were unharmed.

Demo models, seconds, discontinued products, and floor samples not included. Items must be advertised, in stock, and verifiable on the Web or in a local or national paper, magazine, or catalog by an authorized dealer (you may be required to email or fax a copy of the competitor's offer). Musician's Friend will match combined or multiple offers at its sole discretion.

Opened or used sets of strings, boxes of reeds, computer software, sound cards, tubes, internal earphones, earplugs, traditional and ethnic wind instruments, raw-frame speakers, pickups that have been installed, drum heads and sticks, turntable cartridges, clothing, books, cassettes, CDs, and videos are nonreturnable except for defective items. Returned mouthpieces incur a $5 sterilization fee.

Musician's Friend only accepts returns made within the first 45 days of shipment. Should you find it necessary to return any merchandise, it must be shipped within this 45-day guarantee period. Please follow the return instructions printed on the back of your invoice. All returned items must include a Return Authorization Number, be in the original packaging complete with the warranty card and owner's manual, and show no signs of wear or abuse; otherwise the return will either be refused or subject to a 15% restocking fee.
