Great: Speed, Durability, Quick Change, Workmanship,
Easy Set up and breakdown, Very Nice carrying case, Great looks!

If I had to find fault in it, it would be the carrying case.
It is a very good case But, at the price I think a little nicer Hard Case would be better!
and the beaters are very good but not the top of line beaters.
For being the top of the line, I believe it should have come with the top of the line betters also with Hard case.
But neither the beaters or case take away form how great this pedal Performs, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Returned Demon Drive Double pedals (replaced with superior and fast TRICK Bigfoot pedals) after 1 mth - no longer usable as the beater & clamp assembly kept on slipping no matter how tight I would tighten the beater adjustment clamp. IMO there is an engineering issue that requires immediate attention with the beater stroke adjustment clamp. As soon as you start tinkering with it and making adjustments the aluminum casted clamp starts wearing and slipping along the shaft Positives: direct drive, super smooth & fast, no slave sloppiness or play, long board (not a true 12? long board as it short by 1?) Negatives: hype that does not deliver, pricey and low value IMO, overall adjustments painful, beater too soft, at first it looked really sweet and glitzy but even after a month it looked beat up and cheap looking, never had true confidence in pedal overall performance. Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

I purchased these pedals to replace the single PDP chain-drive pedal I was using before. Man, what a difference there is. While a chain-drive pedal has some slack in the chain, the direct-drive keeps the footboard glued to your foot - the response is incredible! One of Pearl's selling features for this pedal is that both the left and the right pedals feel exactly the same. It's absolutely true. This remains the best purchase I've made for my drum kit. I highly recommend buying it.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

These pedals are perfect for any situation. Personally I play Djent, speed metal, and Metalcore on my own time, but I play professionally in a hardcore band, HerEcho. I've been using axis pedals for almost three years now, and where they were ok for my own personal use, I could never get a feel from them that i liked when playing with band I tour with and could never keep a consistent setup with them. However I recently purchased these pedals and was blown away. In a matter of minutes of unbloxing these bad boys (and converting them to long boards) I was able to find the perfect setup that not only felt smoother and faster than my Axis pedals, but also felt perfect for any genre of music I felt like playing. I will never regret buying these pedals and I would recommend them over any other pedals. I've owned iron cobras and dw5000 as well and these encompass everything good about all the pedals I've ever played plus more. All around the perfect pedal in any situation.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

This pedal is great! Nice and smooth! However the price tag is unnecessarily high. For what you get, it seems too overpriced. Sure it's a great pedal, but I'm not willing to pay this much for one. I use the pedals at practices and gigs but only because our vocalist is a hobbyist drummer and bought them for his person drum set on Black Friday for cheaper.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

Although Ive played drums since school and not consistently too I might add would still only tend to see myself to be somewhat a novice player
Although others opinions through out such a time may seem to differ
But from my personal preference in actually observing the actual talent of those whom can play and those who think they can play or even worse are good from which if I were so vain or at that way so nclined could effortlessly put in there place can only give myself a novice catagery class rating
As through such a time I have not committed myself in such a way through my eyes of what I truly think it means to be deservidly experienced in this field
As for this pedal in comparison to my previous then late 80s top of line pearl double bass pedal with single chain drive
The Demon direct drive is an effortless dream to use which is how it should be
I now have one on layby at a local music store thinking at the time it were the best on the market but am somewhat a little swayed now by recently discovering and researching the Trick series double bass pedals
Bigfoot in particular which is unavailble here in New Zealand
In which I tend to lean towards the design simplicity and prat ability of what tends to be also a very much desired option one of which now I have finally concluded will obtain through this site
The demon drive HOW EVER I must stress could potentially be problamatic if not treated or handled with respect or adjusted inappropriately having cast component settings vulnerable to wear if not precisely allighned
As I had personally tested this same pedal previosly with personally not the same results as the other two stores I had tested later originally looking at the mapex falcon another great feeling pedal maybe in some ways even more so but unfortunately one of which I found was capable of bottoming out
As for my first encounter with the demon am banking on or would assume this could possibly be due to salesman customer trials of unintentional ignorance and like wise demonstrative inappropriate handling and neglect which was previously observed
Which is why I would recommend to any would be buyer to buy new unopened still in box as is the situation at present with myself

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

I purchased this shortly after it became available and it has become my best friend! The different setups and adjustments helped to find the perfect position for my style.
I needed something with a long board large enough for my feet(13EEE) and with these I am able to do heel toe technique almost effortlessly. I couldn't believe how fast and responsive it is compared to my old chain drive pedal. I've played several other top end pedals since and these still have the best feel and response for me.
The best thing about this pedal is as my style and technique changes and improves, the setup changes with it. I started at loose tension with lighter feel settings and as my speed and power increase I simply adjust the positions to compensate. This makes it a pedal that grows with you!
The only negatives are some people have had issues with parts loosening. Luckily this hasn't been a problem I've encountered. The beaters are way too quiet for my taste so if you like loud and punchy plan on buying different ones. Also, the case is cloth. It still has rigid sides and a little extra storage but, I see it wearing out or being crushed under heavy equipment.
Always try several pedals out before you choose one as it is an expensive commitment. For me, I'll only own the Demon Drive!

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

Ok ive been drumming for a couple if years. Started out with rock and quickly moved on to metal. But double bass was a pipedream for me because i had next to no money playing on cb700 set with shredded cymbals. Finally decided to bite the bullet and put these on layaway at a local music store. When i finally paid them off i realized these were well worth the wait and the money. Amazing feel: smooth as can be and no delay with the reaction. It hits exactly when it should unlike most pedals ive seen since i started with this pedal. Within a month i could play almost anything and i owe it to this amazing pedal. everyone complments on the timing and clarity of the bass hits. The only negative aspect i can find is that i need to.get stronger springs, though thats because unlike many drummers, i play with straight legs for power, no ankle tricks. If you are considering these pedals, even weary about the price, BUY THEM. I cannot stress enough how absolutely beautiful these pedals are.

I seen one of these at a gig I was playing at. I asked the drummer that owned it if I could mess with it for a little. Lets just say I feel in love and I'm not the drummer for my band. So incredibly smooth, and it is what you play. So if your a great drummer and your never off, it'll let you know. If you suck at drums, it'll let you know. It had the stock beaters on it, which I didn't care too much about, but they weren't bad either. I would say its worth every penny. I didn't find anything bad about it, but I only played with it 5 maybe 10 minutes. So if your thinking on getting it, I would say get it.

              A Contradiction of its Self

              By nomelody

              from California

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double Pedal:

There is really a contradiction with this pedal. The pedal seems like it should be something special, yet it just feels average. In the end feel and playability is most important. If the pedal doesn't feel good who cares how well its made. For me personally I just couldn't jive with this Pearl Demon Drive.Since feel is completely subjective I have tried to keep most of the review focused on attributes that are more objective.Overall this is an ultra smooth high end pedal and I think many drummers will love it. It is like a cross/compromise between a chain drive and direct drive. I have no way of knowing this but I bet that was one of the design goals. I feel it is more of a chain drive feel but without that slack on the return. The feel leans toward light rather than heavy.Build Quality/Construction:These pedals are of high quality construction materials and workmanship. Tolerances are tight. No slack/poor tolerance in the mechanism of the slave pedal or primary and other components. No noise whatsoever as the pedal operates. Slave felt almost the same as the primary. Overall it is a cast metal. Some of the components are solid metal machined and not cast. As a comparison the Axis is machined from the beginning and no casting. For the purpose of a drum pedal both processes are fine, it's just a different way to get to a finished product. The cast product will be less expensive when mass produced. There are many great features adjustment wise. A player should be able to find their sweet spot on this pedal. It's clear they really worked hard to reduce friction on this design and it shows. Just allowing the beaters to swing back and forth with no foot shows this. It just goes and goes like a pendulum.I do feel some of the features don't add much to the actual functionality. The orange colored anodized grip dots are totally ineffective. If they were rubber they would be effective (available as a Pearl option but should come with a pedal at this price). Ninja bearings are smooth but so what. Any bearings on a kick pedal should be. Many different types of bearings provide quality with the Ninja being nothing special, its marketing.Important Note about Longboard conversion:The shortboard to longboard option is really just another adjustment rather than a true option to have a shortboard or longboard. It certainty gives another feel to the pedal and adds another dimension to this pedals adjustable nature. But it is not a true longboard. A longboard has the pivot point below the pedal and subsequently below the heel. That's the whole point. This merely elongates the pedal and reduces the heel rest size. It places the pivot point behind your heel with just a little heel rest sticking out the back. Again a true longboard has nothing behind the heel and it pivots under the heel. This really isn't a long board, its an adjustment option. If your in the market for new pedals these are nice and will satisfy many players. If you have pedals and your just looking to upgrade (but don't really need to) you may want to consider staying with your current setup.Pros:Tight tolerancesHigh end workmanshipLots of adjustmentsQuietLow resistance of components during movementCons:Longboard option is not a true longboardTraction dots as included are worthlessValueDoesn't feel/play special (my personal take)
