I'm not a drummer, But I like to jam with all my friends.Ever since I purchased the regulator drum head for my bass drum. Everyone who played them commented on how sweet it sounded. I picked up this set of Ludwig Rockers,So I added all Aquarian drum heads. This kit sounds fantastic,I could not belive the difference.I'm not only sold on the small hole regulator head, I'm sold on Aquarian's. Their great!

Head is defective. How hard is it to glue something together? Now I have to stick a pillow in my bass drum.
Worked great for one week.
REGULATOR FALLS OFF.

This is a very nice drumhead. When you use it you don't have to use any internal dampening to achieve great sound. It would be great for live or studio use.

This is the best kick head I've ever used. I've been playing for 10 years. This combined with the Aquarian Super Kick II is AMAZING! Definitely do this combination! Using it in the studio and I'm just blow away at the cannon sound.

i was looking for a resonant bass drum head with a port hole for micing, and i found the aqaurian small hole black regulator head. also i was looking for a head with some internal muffling, which this head provides. i put it on my pearl forum bass drum and combined with a superkick 2 my bass drum sounded amazing! all i use for muffling is one pillow pushed against the batter head, nothing touching the regulator head. it makes the perfect sound in my opinion. if you're in doubt just get this.

I've been playing drums for over 12 years, and have played so many different heads. This is the BEST bass drum head out there. I now play guitar and sing in a band, and before a recent show, this drumhead got a small tear in it. Our drummer swapped it for a remo head he had lying around, and it sounded so bad that we played the show with the ripped aquarian. It makes THAT much of a difference. Want to get your kick sounding better? Get this head.

I could not believe how much better this made my kick drum sound. I broke the stock front head from my Gretsch kit, which I had ported with a hole almost identical in size and location to the hole on the regulator. I replaced it with this head. That drum never sounded this good. Do yourself a favor and try one.

I use this in conjunction with a Superkick I. For unmic'd gigs, I use no muffling - gives just the right punch and low end with just the right amount of sustain - some, but not too much. For mic'd gigs, I use minimal muffling.
