    great head for any drum

    Comments about Aquarian Super-2 Coated Drumhead:

    I have these heads on all my toms as well as my main snare drum. They have the smooth brightness that Evans lacks and they lack the hard,plastic-like sound Remo has. They have the perfect thickness for me (12 mil 7+5)so they have the pronounced low frequencies of two-ply heads with a little more ring in the higher frequencies. I switched to these from Aquarian coated response 2's and, while similar, they have a little more fatness and sustain. I'd be satisfied with these heads for the rest of my life. Highly Recommended.

    I purchased these heads for a vintage kit and have used them for the last few years. Whether they're tuned low for rock or funk or cranked high for jazz or latin, these heads are durable and do a great job.

    Comments about Aquarian Super-2 Coated Drumhead:

    I bought this drum head because a lot of the metal drummers are using aquarian. (Ex, Travis Smith, Chris Adler) Well sometimes you get a bad head and I'm thinking that's what may have happened. I'm not sure, but the one I got is dead with no musical tone to it. It's been tuned over and over again and never sounds good. I was using Evans G2 heads and they sound amazing even on my cheapo kit. As far as this I am undecided, but I'm guessing they are junk, but hopefully I got a bad head. I want to buy another, but I hesitate due to the sound of this one.
