The Aquarian Super Kick II Drumhead is a clear, 2-ply drumhead with Super Kick muffling ring. It also features Aquarian's patented "Floating Muffling System". A narrow felt muffle ring is attached to the backside of the drumhead to produce a low-end, well-defined punchy sound.

This is the best bass drum head you can buy if you want that deep punchy rumble of a bass drum. I have tried other brands such as psIII, emad clear and coated but they fall short to this head. The key to this head is to tension it just enough to get it to sing. Too loose and it sounds dead and to tight it loses it deep rumble. Also, I would highly recommend an EQ patch as this is my second SKII head, my first one lasted only a couple of months without it. My current one with the eq patch is still going strong 2+ years later.

I bought the Aquarian Super Kick II after my Entry-Level Yamaha's stock head broke after almost 2 years of four on the floor punk, metal, funk, jazz, etc. I had been eyeing this head because of all the good things I heard about it. You see, I am an Evans man, and I wanted to try this to see how Aquarian holds up. I then tried it. it was AMAZING. It was auto muffled, but not muffled enough that it sounded dead. It got me the huge, Bonham style sound I was looking for. I was very happy with my purchase. This is an amazing sounding head, and I would reccomend it, but then... Two weeks later, a big crash was right in the middle! I have fantastic tecnique, and have only broken 1 head (and no cymbals) in my 2 years of drumming. I had no idea how it could have broken. The man who sold it to me said his lasted him a year! The head still plays (thankfully, like I have another 40 dollars to go buy an EMAD with) but the sound is not good. It sounds very weak, empty and exactly like my entry level Yamaha's stock head. All in all, I am very angry that I bought a bad products. I do not think less of Aquarian, and most likely will purchase another Super Kick II in a few years, but right now I am horrified that I bought a bad product. Aquarian will be hearing about this on Monday, and I hope they give me a refund, so I can buy an Evans EMAD bass drum head.

I should have first bought this instead of my Remo bass drum head. Even before you put it on, the head sounds great! If you play metal, i highly recommend this, even adding a drum pad for that extra "click" sounds even better!

This is the #1 recomended head by "Kick Port". I have been using this head on all of my bass drums for the past 2 years.It sounds fantastic when coupled with a Kickport but also sounds very good all on its own. No more need for a pillow inside the drum. This head offers a very tight focused punch with just the right amount of overtones.

I have had one of these heads for about 5 years if not longer. I just recently got the first ply to crack and split. Against my better judgment, I duct taped the split and to my surprise it still sounds just as good. It hasn't split anymore and is holding up very well. Overall the sound quality is the best I've used/heard and the most durable I have ever used. I will continue to buy the Super Kick II until the day I stop drumming.

I use this bass head on my ludwig 5-piece accent combo, I replaced the stock head with this one. It transformed the sound of my bass drum, without me going broke. I highly recommend this.

I have played Evans Genera EQ3 bass heads for years.
They were out of stock,so I ordered the Aquarian Super Kick.What a fatass kick drum!! If this holds up like the Evans for long term use,I'm sold for life.Might even try some on the rest of the kit.

There is no chance you'll be disappointed with your purchase. I've probably played/heard 50 something bass heads, and none sound nearly as good.
I'm convinced there's no better bass head out there
I've had the exact same aquarian superkick II head on my bass for 6-7 years, still sounds the same as day 1
It doesn't cost nearly as much as other heads compared to how long it lasts

Overall, this product is outstanding. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a new bass head.
I absolutely love this bass head. I have it paired with the Aquarian Regulator resonant head and it sounds perfect.
I have never used a better sounding bass head. It has the perfect amount of punch and a deep, boomy sound. And because of the floating muffling I didnt have to do any work to get it to sound good. I'm not sure how long it will last as I only just put it on, but I am in love with this product.
You really can't find a better bass head for this price. Amazing sound and feel.
