The Aquarian Super Kick II Drumhead is a clear, 2-ply drumhead with Super Kick muffling ring. It also features Aquarian's patented "Floating Muffling System". A narrow felt muffle ring is attached to the backside of the drumhead to produce a low-end, well-defined punchy sound.

Features:

I'm convinced there's no better bass head out there

Quality:

I've had the exact same aquarian superkick II head on my bass for 6-7 years, still sounds the same as day 1

Value:

It doesn't cost nearly as much as other heads compared to how long it lasts

Overall:

There is no chance you'll be disappointed with your purchase. I've probably played/heard 50 something bass heads, and none sound nearly as good.

Features:

I absolutely love this bass head. I have it paired with the Aquarian Regulator resonant head and it sounds perfect.

Quality:

I have never used a better sounding bass head. It has the perfect amount of punch and a deep, boomy sound. And because of the floating muffling I didnt have to do any work to get it to sound good. I'm not sure how long it will last as I only just put it on, but I am in love with this product.

Value:

You really can't find a better bass head for this price. Amazing sound and feel.

Overall:

Overall, this product is outstanding. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a new bass head.

Features:

I got this for our drummer for a spare, he wound up needing it sooner than expected. He and the rest of the band love it. The sound is great but I'm no drummer but the drummer told me to get another one for a spare. For the money I am very happy with this purchase. I do not know how long it will last that is the only drawback from these reviews. I am very happy right now and our drummer is also.

Quality:

I would have given a 10 but I do not know how long it will last.

Value:

Try one, bet you like it.

Overall:

Lets see how long it lasts, but great for now.

Hi guys,

I've been playing drums  for quite a while (many, many years...) and I can't believe this Super  Kick II can be this good: clear and precise attack sound, loud, very  loud and low frequencies galore. With a decent mic you can get a killer sound that will surprise you, and you really don't  need to additionally muffle your bass drum.  The floating muffle ring  that comes with it does an incredible good job.

When I practice at home it doesn't matter the blankets I throw inside the bass drum, it's still loud.

This is THE BEST bass drum head I ever had, hands down.

I was forced to use the Aquarian Super Kick series because I destroyed every Evans and Remo head I bought; the hammer would pierce the head. I asked the boys at Guitar Center for the most durable head, and I was pointed to Aquarian. That was 10 years ago, I never switched back.

 

I currently play a 20"x20" virgin kick with a Superkick II strapped on, and my god how deep does it sound. It's an air cannon of low-end power.

 

With this head, you get what you pay for. It's more expensive than the competition, but it sounds great because of the built-in dampening ring, and it will last forever. Which, to me, is important, because the kickdrum head should be the last head any drummer should have to replace.
