The Aquarian Superkick III is a coated single-ply, medium-weight bass drumhead with a power dot in the center for added reinforcement. The Superkick III bass drumhead produces a low-end, well-defined punchy sound due to Aquarian's patented Floating Muffling System, which is a narrow felt muffle ring attached to the backside of the drumhead.
Safe—T-Loc hoop
This hoop system prevents slippage inside the hoop so that the head does not de-tune during a performance and will not pull out. Tuning is consistent and the head stays in tune.
Sound Curve Collar Design
This design allows the drumhead to seat perfectly on the bearing edge. No wrinkles even with loose tuning. It conforms instantly to any shell design and makes tuning fast, easy, and more accurate.
Triple Locking System
This unique system provides drummers with previously unheard of advantages in resonance and playability. First, holes are punched in the bottom of a "U" shaped channel, which has been formed in the drumhead. These holes allow the epoxy to flow into the "Safe-T-Loc" channel. Second, the "T-Ribs" that form the Safe-T-Loc channel prevent the epoxy and the drumhead, from slipping and pulling away from the hoop. Lastly, the Locking Shoulder acts as a "stop" to ensure the correct collar height for the drumhead.

This is my first aquarian head and i love it! Im a fan of coated head for the warmth they give and this is know exception! For looks purposes im not a fan of the middle circle but not a big deal. I play a 20x18 kick and with this it sounds so deep and i get the punch and tone i like! Get this head! Ps i recommend u buy a impact badge with this just to protect it to last longer.

Meh, this head is too thick, combined with the coating, it makes for a nice deep tone, but no attack. At all. So I am ordering a gmad, this just doesn't make my bass drum sound the way I want it to.

it's a good sounding head and all but the pad on this head will not last if you like to kick like a mofo. I strongly suggest buying a kick pad for this immediately or it will not last.

Ok, this is, to me, the best bass drum head I've used. I'm not a coated type of guy, but when I saw the III after the Super-Kick, I mean c'mon. If you already don't like the Super-Kick I or II, you probably won't like this one, fyi. I like and had the I and II, buy they both cracked from me kicking the crap out of it, and the floating muffle system a great idea and I prefer it to anyone wanting that deep, bass, cannon-like tone out of their bass drum. It also has a thin pad in the middle for the pedals to hit which is cool because that's how I broke the previous ones, so I think that it will help out a lot in the no-cracking during a gig category. If you had a 50 gallon trash can, this would make it sound good. I put a 4 for quality because I've only had it for a couple of weeks and don't know what will happen. I want to see a non coated, 2 layer Super-Kick IV with the dot in the middle.

I used this drumhead for years. It was on my first kit when I bought it off a friend who played metal and thrash on it for a good 5 years. I've owned the kit for another 5 years on top of that, and only recently replaced the head because I wanted to see what some other brands sounded like. I still prefer the sound of this head, for the style I play, over Remo and all other brands.This head will last YEARS of continuous beating!
