I bought these heads years ago when I was just starting to get into drums. Think that was 2008. We'll put it this way.... they are still on my kit and I play on it once or twice a week for band practice. They hold up to moderate practice. Normal drummers don't need to hit everything as hard as they can. Theres no point to it if you have mics. If your a hard hitter you need to go to double ply. They have a really good punch to them. How ever from my experience they don't like low tunings even with dampening. I suggest rings for a more full tone with these heads. Other wise they ll buzz a good bit. I find them all to be great besides the snare head. The coating wears off quickly and it sounds a little dead to me. I use a remo black x now. But The bass head is pretty respectable in tone. I loved the built in ring on it. Also Needs a pillow or dampener. Lets get serious though.... bottom line these are a cheap upgrade that ll last if you take care of your equipment. Get them!

I bought this heads because they have worked before, and this time, they failed.. The snare batter coated head ripped from the edge during one of my live presentations.. Luckily, I had a back up snare drum with Remo Control Sound X... The tom heads I used as resonance heads to prevent any further damage. They sound great as resonant heads! But if you want a quality, durable snare head, I highly suggest getting Remo.. Yes, a little more money, but really worth it!

          Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

Used on both the resonant and batter sides. In one band I use these to record and in another my super hard hitting drummer practices on them. The tone is about low/mid level demo, toms punch super clearly, snare is snappy. I use a bit of moon gell on them to kill a bit of ring.As long as they hold up over time I plan on switching to them for shows.

              Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

Replaced the stock heads on a set of Mapex Meridians with the clear 1 ply attacks and the tuned straight up. They seem to do best with both heads being Attacks tuned to a medium tightness. They may not have the same range as the more expensive brands but they are doing well with the Birch shells that I've installed them on. They have a clear tone with some bottom to keep it honest. The mids and highs are there at lower tunings but that isn't as good range for the Attacks. Good heads, I'll use again.I love the snare coated. It sounds very close to the Ambassador but it seems to be a little more robust.

              Try them out!!!

              Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

These are medium weight Single Ply heads. With that being said, they produce a warm, open tone with medium attack and a little bit of punch. They sound great with sound rings on them or some dampening. They hold up great and last a long time...I play hard and they take a beating! Also they are not hard to tune at all, in fact they were the easiest I have ever tuned. The snare sounds great, the coating is OK, and I recomend getting the pack with the bass head cuz that thing kicks a** too, all you need is a little pillow. So go ahead and try these out for yourself, you can't beat them for the price. You can put new heads on your whole kit for the price of one bass head from other brands.

              GOOD FOR RESONANT HEADS

              By

              from Joplin, MO

              Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

I bought these because i needed some cheap resonant heads, I must say, they tuned up pretty easy the look good and improved the sound of my drums. I have remo pinstripes on the batter side and these seem to work really well with those. Also they're dirt cheap, I didnt use the snare head so I don't know about that but I think these are pretty awesome as resonant heads.

              do not tune low

              By

              from York, PA

              Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

i had them tuned high, but had to lower them because my band plays in C. they sound good high, but low they sound like crap so don't buy them if you tune your drums lower than average.

A huge upgrade from my factory heads, although I defiantly don?t recommend them, they basically suck, but the factory ones sucked worse!

              good for the price

              By

              from south jersey

              Comments about Attack 4-Pack Drumheads:

i'm using these as the resonant heads on my pearl exports, and they do just fine. i'm kind of broke, so i figured these would do, and i was right. they ring a lot, but i threw some tape across them to dampen them and they sound pretty good. these would be perfect if you're in my situation (strapped for cash) or if you're a beginner or whatever. as long as you know how to tune your kit, you'll be fine. and dampen them like i did.
