I've played all the "major" brands. Now I've played regular Attack heads and Bozzios. I had been thinking of Attack heads as cheap replacements you put on a drum to sell and be able to say it has a new head. This Bozzio value pack has the best quality coated head I've played and it has USA mylar as opposed to the regular Attack coated which I think sound great too. You also get the old standard medium CLEAR snare-side head that has the sound I favor. It seems nobody sells this anymore from the major brands. Great deal for a great product.

I was using some mediocre stock heads on my snare and then picked these Terry Bozzio heads for a gig when they were on sale. Whoa, what a difference. Man, these are great responsive heads. Nice clear drum rolls and a great sound. I wasn't expecting too much given the price so I was very pleased.

I use a 5 1/2 x 14 bronze shell snare drum. I have used Evans, Remo, and the factory heads on it in addition to another Attack! head and this one.This by far has gotten me the best sound out of all of them. Unlike Evans, the skin is incredibly responsive to all kinds of playing. Unlike Remo, I can get a clean buzz roll from this. The sound is a wonderful, cutting high-pitched "ping." You won't mistake my snare for anyone else.While not the best head for other drums (maple doesn't seem to agree with this; it's probably just me), it works wonders if tuned the right way on the right snare.

I followed Terry's tuning tips to a tee and I have never gotten a good sound out of these heads. Not sorry I bought them, but wouldn't buy again.

I do a lot of brush work with a big band and these heads are the greatest.I got a lot more use of the Attack heads than I did for any of the other brands.You get a good brush "swish".Even when the surface smooths out after a while you still get some sound.I really like the way the collar fits right out of the box.

These are great snare heads. great response & tone, very durable coating, show no signs of wear after weeks of playing. incredible value, try these on your snare!

I've used attack one ply coated and liked the sound-so I bought this 2-pack. The snare side head is much too heavy and the snare sounds boxy and not crisp. Batter head is great. Changed snare side to an ambassador and now sounds great!
